Steinberg, Isaac Nachman
(1888-1957)
   Russian revolutionary and writer. He was born in Dvinsk, and worked as a lawyer in Moscow before World War I. He was arrested and exiled because of his revolutionary activities, but returned to Russia in 1910. In 1917-18 he was commissar for law. Later he lived in Berlin, London and New York. He was prominent in the Yiddish and Territorialist movements, and published studies of the Russian Revolution and Jewish issues.
